Why replace missing teeth?

Missing teeth can impact your ability to bite, chew, and speak properly. If the gap is visible when you smile or laugh, it might also affect your confidence.

When teeth are removed and left untreated, nearby teeth can shift into the space by drifting or tilting, and opposing teeth may drop down. This can lead to trapped food, bacteria buildup, or further spacing and crowding issues. You may find it harder to chew some of the foods you would normally enjoy and the chance of further dental problems occurring is higher.

Restorative treatment provided by our specialist prosthodontist

Replacing missing or damaged teeth is a big decision, and at Siha Dental, we understand the need for patients to feel confident in their care. That’s where our specialist prosthodontist, Salman Pirmohamed, comes in. His role means he focuses specifically on replacing any missing elements in your mouth, whether it’s a single tooth, several teeth, or even all teeth and gums. With his extensive expertise and patient-focused approach, Salman supports you every step of the way.

Dental implants to restore your smile

There are several reasons why we may lose teeth, including accidents, infections, or tooth decay due to poor oral health.

If you have a missing tooth or teeth, dental implant treatment may be an option for you. Dental implants offer a permanent, comfortable and natural-looking solution. They can replace both single and multiple teeth, and in some cases, a single implant can support a bridge of up to four teeth, providing a stable and effective solution.

At Siha Dental, we start with a consultation to discuss your smile goals, assess your oral health, and determine your jawbone density. This helps us determine if dental implants are the right treatment for you.

How do dental implants work?

A dental implant resembles a small titanium screw that is securely fused into the exact position of your missing tooth, acting as a ‘root’ for holding a false tooth or crown in place. Once fitted, the implant offers long-term support for your new replacement tooth, or multiple teeth. It will be colour and shade-matched to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth.

How to get started with dental implants: your patient journey

One

Your consultation

Attend your initial consultation appointment, where you can talk to us about your concerns, and we can find out more about the complexity of your case. We’ll let you know if dental implants are the best solution for you, discuss possible alternatives if not and give you all the information that you need.

Treatment plan

You’ll have a consultation with our specialist prosthodontist, Salman Pirmohamed, who will conduct a thorough assessment of your dental health and create a personalised treatment plan. If you decide to proceed, we’ll schedule a CBCT scan for you, priced at £195. This scan provides a more precise evaluation of the area where the dental implants are needed.

Three

Implant placement

We'll arrange an appointment to place the implant. The metal implant is inserted into the jawbone and left for around three months, allowing new bone to grow around it and secure it in place. During this time, we can fit a temporary crown to fill the gap until the final restoration is ready.

The finishing touch

Once the implant site has healed and the implant has fused with the bone, we can begin creating your custom crown or denture. A connecting piece, called an abutment, is screwed into the implant, and a false tooth is crafted to perfectly match your other teeth. The quality of these restorations is so high you may find it difficult to distinguish the replacement from your natural teeth.

Replacing missing teeth: all options covered

If dental implants aren’t right for you, we have several alternative options for replacing missing teeth. Dental bridges can fill the gap by anchoring to nearby teeth, while dentures can restore multiple missing teeth. Our team will work closely with you to find the best solution that fits your needs and dental health.
